A murder mystery game in the garden or on the patio

In the summer, the garden or patio often becomes the heart of the evening. A murder mystery game works just as well there as it does indoors at the dining table. With a digital murder mystery game, everyone logs in on their own smartphone, so it doesn’t matter where you’re sitting. With a murder mystery dinner, you can serve the meal outdoors and place the role-playing booklets next to the plates.

Just be mindful of the sun and any wind. Paper role-playing booklets need a few small stones to weigh them down. For the digital version, make sure screens aren’t exposed to bright sunlight—it’s hard to read that way.

A murder mystery game on vacation

A murder mystery game is a popular part of a family vacation or a weekend with friends at a vacation home. On an evening when everyone is already gathered around the table, the game adds something special that no one else brings. Since the file is already downloaded when you pack, you don’t need to bring anything physical for the digital version.

If you choose print & play, you print out the character sheets in advance and bring them with you. The three-course menu adapts to what’s available locally. Wi-Fi is only required for the digital version.
